Spring is on it's way!

I am so glad that winter is almost over. It doesn't really seem like we've had much of a winter here in the south this year. That doesn't hurt my feelings at all really. I think Spring is my favorite time of year. I love the blooming flowers, chirping birds, and longer days. The temperature is not too cold and not too hot. The only thing that can be annoying is all the bugs that come out. I'm not a fan of mosquitoes or stinging bees but they seem to be a fan of me. Other than that, if it were up to me, it would be Spring like weather year round. If only it were up to me. Oh well, I'll just enjoy it while it lasts!

Expectations

Everyone at some point has expectations. It can be for themselves, for others, or both. We also have responsibilities to some degree. I am the type of person that always tries my best to meet my own expectations. I try even harder when someone else is counting on me. It is one thing to let myself down....I'll get over it. However, I can not let others down. With all the things I'm responsible for...being a wife, house work, school work, etc. I do everything I can to do what is expected of me. I could choose not do some of the things on the agenda but excuses have never gotten me anywhere, even if they were legit. It just really burns me up when people take advantage of who they are and decide not to do what they are expected. It's a double standard. I have things expected of me within a certain amount of time, excuses are not acceptable BUT others can get by with it. People need reevaluate what they are doing and get their priorities in order. Yes, that could mean staying inside on the first beautiful day we've had in a while. It could mean NOT going out with friends on a Saturday evening. It could mean staying up late and/or getting up early just to put forth the effort of getting it done. I am most definitely not perfect or conceded in any way, shape, form, or fashion but if only people were more like me things would be going much more smoothly. >:(

Communication

Communicating with people is easier now more than ever with cell phones and Internet. There is almost no excuse for not being able to get in touch with someone. There are some things that I don't really like about it though. I think that because of these things, people are becoming less personable. I miss getting a phone call every now and then from people that just to say hello, or receiving a handwritten letter in the mail. I guess I'm just old fashioned. Now a days, I believe it means more to someone if they receive a handwritten card or letter instead of an e-card. At least anytime I have given one, people seem to like it. I'm just going to have to get used to all these electronic ways of doing things. It's better to keep in touch anyway you can rather than not at all. So, happy typing y'all!
