Volunteering

I am studying to be a medical laboratory technician. Through this program, I have passed a training course to go on blood drives in my area. I will only be able to take a donor's blood pressure, pulse rate, and temperature for now. Once I graduate or get more certifications I will be able to draw the blood from donors. I enjoy getting out of the classroom and having real world experiences. It helps me remember why I'm having to take all of these hard courses and why instructors can be so hard on us. They want us to be as knowledgeable as possible so we can be a success wherever we go to work. There are times when I dread class but it's only for a little while. I have to keep looking to what is waiting for me in the future. I can almost see it...it's pretty bright! :)
